What is Discipleship? What does it mean to truly live?
The first step to being able to truly live is to begin a relationship with Jesus Christ, to believe in Him as your savior and confess Him as your Lord. If you are unsure what it means to have a relationship with Jesus, we want to invite you to come visit with us at anytime and talk with one of our pastors. Without Jesus, you cannot even hope to have the life that God has designed us for.
But what about those who have started that relationship with Jesus… what's next? Many of us ask ourselves, "where do we go from here? Do I just come to church and that's it?" The answer is no, that is not it. We were meant to live, and to live abundantly, but that doesn't come naturally. We have to learn from someone who has already been through the season of life that we are now going through. That process of learning is called discipleship.
Here at LSB, we do discipleship in a couple of different ways. The first one is called Life Groups. Life Groups meet on Sunday mornings at 9am for bible study and fellowship with other believers encouraging each other as we do life together. To find out more about Life Groups, click here. The second way we encourage discipleship is called Disciples Making Disciples. This is a one-on-one approach to encouraging others to grow in our spiritual lives and our relationship to Jesus. We do this by pairing up a spiritually mature believer with a believer who desires growth and guidance. To find out more, click here.
